My First Finished Crochet Project in YEARS
I love to crochet, but finishing a project is another matter. My best friend from high school just got married and had her first baby, which motivated me sufficiently to start and FINISH a blanket for baby Leilani!
No, I have not given lessons and I am not sure how to do it in cyberspace. My mother taught me how to crochet the European way (yarn wrapped around the index finger of the left hand).
Here are some instructions I found for the pattern I used. We did the version in which you single crochet going into the two-chain (not three-chain) loop. My blocks had a less boxy look than the one pictured at the link given.
The picture does not do it justice! Many thanks, Tammy...we received the package yesterday and the afghan is beautiful. This is a gift Leilani will enjoy for many years to come.
That's beautiful! Do you give lessons?? I'd love to learn how to knit or crochet!
